Trainer Nights & Group Rides

It's Settled (I think)...

It's Winter! Which means that it's about time to start training for the 2011 season. The kits are ordered, the roster is set (almost) and plans are in the works for a TBRT sponsored event (most likely a crit, or maybe a TT, or even a road race...or maybe even a charity ride...but probably a crit - who knows?). But, we have decided on several training nights & group rides...

TBRT Trainer Nights on Tuesday Nights at Andy Goodson's House:

6425 Holly Trace Court
Nashville, TN 37221

Start time: 6:30 PM (be there by 6:15...and don't sweat all over Andy's rug or curse around his kids - that pisses him off!) Bring your bike, trainer, a mat and some towels...and any training videos).

Trace Bikes Thursday Night Trainer Sessions

At the shop.
Start time: 6:30 PM. A mat and some towels are probably a good idea too. I'm sure Scott & Michelle don't want you sweating all over the new line of Madones.

TBRT Saturday Morning Rides

Meet at the shop.
Start time: 9 AM (times may vary once the season gets rolling along). Sweat and curse as much as you like!
Distance and routes will vary as well - probably 2-4 hour rides.

Sunday Group Ride

2011 Season Organizational Meeting - Number 2

We are having a second organizational meeting for the Trace Bikes Race Team. We had a good showing for the first meeting and want to give other folks a chance to come meet everyone and look at joining.

Have you ever thought about road racing or mountain bike racing? Ever thought about taking your cycling to a new level? Ever wanted to be a part of a cycling team, to train and race? If so, then The Trace Bikes Race Team would like to invite you to an organizational meeting for the 2011 racing season.

When: November 2, 2010 6:30 PM
Where: Trace Bikes (next to the Loveless Cafe)

Trace Bikes Race Team is currently made up of Cat 4 and Cat 5 road racers and Cat 2 and Cat 3 mountain bike racers. Most of us entered our first year of bike racing in 2010, so we are all relatively new to the sport. If you are new to racing and want to join a team of relatively new racers, or you have years of experience and want to join a growing squad, this may be the team for you.

Multisport Weekend

This past weekend TBRT had three of its athletes compete in multisport events. Ivan Van Der Merwe and Michael Edens both did the Cedars of Lebanon Triathlon on Saturday and Jonathon Minton did the Ford Ironman Louisville on Sunday. Ivan and Michael took 1st and 5th in their respective age groups, and Jonathan completed his first Ironman in 11:51:39, which was an excellent time on such a hot day!

A few team members were present in Louisville to watch Jonathan take on the Ironman. We sat in the shade and had a great time watching our teamate suffer. Actually, I think we looked more exhausted than he did after the event, which says a lot about Jonathan's fitness level (or not much about ours). Congrats to all for their accomplishments this weekend!

2010 Nashville Cyclist Crit Series Wrapup

This past Wednesday was the final Nashville Cyclist Criterium Series Race for 2010. First, we would like to thank Tim Hall with Nashville Cyclist and all of the sponsors for another excellent year of racing. Very well done guys.

Considering we are a first year race team, Trace Bikes Race Team had some good results in this series. We placed 7th overall in the team omnium points and had a rider at the top of the podium in the Cat 5 omnium. Both of these accomplishments show great commitment from the team. We hope to make our presence known again next year in this local race series.

2010 Early Results

There is still a few road and mountain bike races left (not to mention cyclocross season), but we wanted to announce our 2010 early results. The Trace Bikes Race team is proud to have 39 top ten finishes, 20 podium finishes, and 5 wins so far for the 2010 race season. These results include road and mountain bike finishes. We consider this a great accomplishment for a first year team, and would like to thank the sponsors, riders, and all the supporters that made this possible. There should be some more good results during cyclocross season this year and plenty more to come for next season.
